Only six examples of the Rolls-Royce 15 hp were completed.
The three cylinder engine developed problems and did not run smoothly,
problems exacerbated by the extra work caused by the fact that the engine did not
share the standard layout of other models. In addition, single cast cylinders and a
specially designed crankcase led to high costs for tooling. Not before late in the
summer of 1905 was the first Rolls-Royce 15 hp ready for delivery.
